Goldberg’s is a family owned and operated business with three locations across West Hartford and Hartford. Our unique bagel recipe, which goes back more than 50 years, produces the awesome fresh-baked bagels our customers love. To achieve the authentic Goldberg’s taste, we boil our bagels before baking, which is the key to a NY-style bagel.
Our bagels are bigger and better than any local shop you’ve ever been to! As an independent restaurant with local ownership, we use quality ingredients that are not corporately sourced like a chain store.

We love to eat! We love food! We get so excited to pass that love on to our customers. A satisfied smile after one of our customers takes a bite of one of our creations gets us all warm and fuzzy inside! We love the foodie culture in the West Hartford/Hartford area and are proud to be a part of it. We are always seeking inspiration for new ways to wow our customers. When we can get local ingredients, we prefer to use farm-fresh eggs, premium meats, local cheeses, and fresh produce. We use quality ingredients to make our own salad dressings, sauces, spreads, lox and many of our meats in-house. You instantly taste the difference in quality when you eat at Goldberg’s.

We try very hard each day to give our customers a positive experience. We train our employees to treat each person as they would a guest in their own home. For two local guys who try and serve the best food we can, positive customer reviews encourage us to keep improving! We have the largest selection of premium breakfast sandwiches anywhere; one of the most popular choices is our Mother Clucker, made with eggs, crispy fried chicken, pepper jack cheese and chipotle mayo. To quote a customer, “The Mother Clucker is to die for.”
We made our name for breakfast; however, Goldberg’s is so much more than a bagel store. We have a great lunch selection of fresh sandwiches, salads, wraps, Paninis, and more. Some of the newest additions to our menu are our house-made lox and pastrami. To make lox and pastrami right, takes almost a week of preparation. The long curing time is essential for that authentic experience.
Our catering menu is filled with many options that will allow you to wow your guests with Goldberg’s awesome food. We work with all our catering clients to make sure their experience is stress-free. If you don’t see it on the menu, we can do it. We have catered events as diverse as a small card game in someone’s home up to hundreds of meals for our troops participating in National Guard training maneuvers. Whatever you need, Goldberg’s has it!
